WHY ARE THE ARTICLES IN ENGLISH NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR FOREIGN LEARNERS? (Tại sao hiện nay các trò nước ngoài không thể đọc được bài viết bằng tiếng Anh tùy ý như trước?)

Dear disciples,

I am writing this letter to learners from about 163 countries and territories (according to statistics from Google Analytics). I write in Vietnamese and ask Cao Dieu Dieu Hang (Violet Tran) to translate this letter into English because my English is not good enough to express my thoughts and analyze the topic. On the other hand, I tried my best to write many articles in English despite difficulties and obstacles in terms of time, physical conditions. However, you have not really appreciated my efforts because there are few responses (comments) despite the number of readers up to thousands of people. Sometimes I disappoint foreign learners (from Europe, America, Australia and so on) . Why? Because when you go to the restaurants, cafe shops, or get in the bus, take a taxi ect, you keep up saying “thank you”, “I’m sorry”. You even tip waiters though these services are not free of charge. While you read a lot of articles on chanhtuduy.com, why don’t you respond with a few simple lines “thank you Guru”?

I wonder why you show the gratitude to the waiters who bring food and drink to you or to the passengers who volunteered their seats for you and when you get the small concern in the office, on the road or pay for taxi, you always sincerely thank them while I and your dharma friends have invested our efforts and time; and worked very hard to write articles (in English, Vietnamese, Spanish, ect), why are you indifferent? Not to mention the attitude of knowing what you are grateful for, and how you should repay which was taught by the Buddha in the sutra of “three types of persons that are hard to find”, I would like to emphasize the manners of a polite person, especially those who are from civilized countries in Europe, America, and Australia!

Dear disciples,

I highly appreciate your interests and concerns in the site of chanhtuduy.com, which is an opportunity for me and other members of ITA Institute to practice Bodhicitta and it proves the value of the academic level of the ITA Institute and me. However, it is fair to say that chanhtuduy.com not only provides you with the valuable articles on Buddhist studies, but is one of six Pure Mind Dharmas named Samyagdrsti – Prabha Samadhi invented by me based on the Buddha’s teachings with a completely new transmission method which is easy to practice, apply and quickly get the result by simply reading and then giving feedback or comments. In order to enlighten you the importance of this method, I will analyze as follows:

1/ Right view stands the first in the Eightfold Path (the Buddha’s teaching)

2/ The sage experienced millions of years in past lives to find the right view. The first person was the Buddha, now we just inherit that intellectual property.

3/ All meritorious deeds without right view will bring serious consequences (Bodhisattva Nagarjuna)

4/ Those without or lack of right view often fall into one of these cases: (1) Do not smile at things that are worth smiling, (2) Do not feel happy for what are worth being happy, (3) Do not have compassion for what are worth being benevolent, (4) Do not listen to righteous advices, (5) Do not feel ashamed at doing bad deeds. Accordingly, I realized that some learners often fall into the above 4 cases when reading the article on chanhtuduy.com without responding to Guru. How can I evaluate your learning progress? Here is my analysis:

    • A new article is worth being happy but you do not feel happy
    • Despite the difficulties, I and other learners write articles for you to read, but you do not have compassion for what are worth being benevolent

  • Reading articles on chanhtuduy.comis listening to righteous advice, but you do not respond.
  • Upset Guru and the dharma friends who write articles is a reprehensible crime

Dear disciples,

When you comment (reply) to articles on chanhtuduy.com, it is not only a common response but it is also a way to accumulate merit because:

1/ Listen to the Dharma by reading and understanding brings merit

2/ Comment is to share the dharma in the reader’s own way, which brings merit;  more or less merit depends on how the writer’s content is expressed according to the right view.

3/ Offering in the form of comments is called “offering the Dharma”, which makes merit

4/ Reading and commenting is a method of meditation (concentrating on the topic)

5/ In the comments, the learners often make a prayer for Guru’s longevity, which is  the request to turn the wheel of Dharma. It is one of the 10 great deeds of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.

6/ In the comments, the learners pray for the country, people, things, and events, which is the practice of  the Bodhicitta aspiration.

7/ At the end of the comment, there is usually a mantra Om mani padme hum, this is a way of chanting the mantra in writing.

8/ Finally, but also the most noble, it is to express gratitude and how to repay the writer –  Guru or the Wise.

9/ According to Confucianism, reading books is a way to talk to sages.

10/ According to Guru’s assertion, reading and commenting is to practice “Samyagdrsti – Prabha Samadhi”

Dear disciples,

According to a survey for many years written in “Research on the Psychological Effects of Pure  Mind Dharma on Stress and Depression”, those who lack right view or clearly have wrong view will get the following consequences:

(1) Cultivate diligently but gain little result

(2) Neither secular life nor spiritual practice is successful

(3) Increasingly clinging to self (self-attachment) and clinging to Dharma (Dharma attachment)

(4) Gloomy or joyless face caused by negative feelings and emotions accumulated inside body and mind

(5) Facing unexpected risks

(6) Have rare opportunity to be reborn in the Buddha’s Land

On the contrary, those who practice Samyagdrsti – Prabha Samadhi will achieve three goals as follows:

1/ Good fortune in life

2/ Inner- happiness

3/ Social Accomplishments.

Many examples from Song Nguyen Tantra House, members of ITA Institute have proved this.

Dear disciples,

From what I have analyzed, explained and clarified, you should contemplate, reflect on yourself and ask yourself if I should let all articles be available for you to read. A saying goes that “you should show the precious swords to a swordsman, You should mention poems with a poet”. Therefore, I decided to close the articles on the site with the compassionate mind to help you avoid becoming ungrateful learners, nor being ridiculous actors on the Dharma stage. However, I will compassionately open articles by topic. And the articles about Samyagdrsti – Prabha Samadhi will be opened first so that you can understand deeply about the true value of this method and leave comments after reading. If you are still inconsiderable and indifferent to the holy teachings quoted from chanhtuduy.com, you surely fall into the case “return empty-handed from a land rich in precious gems”. For learners in Vietnam, all articles in Vietnamese have been closed for 4 years and those who have read and commented for over 3 years do not have to comment according to the regulation of ITA Institute.

Nevertheless, if they would like to accumulate more merit, they can do and their self-awareness determines the value. These are some words I would like to write to you.

Pray that you are always in a state of wakefulness to become “the third person that is hard to find” praised by the Buddha. Om mani padme hum!

A raining afternoon on the peak of Phu Van mountain

This letter is for our Guru as well as the many disciples he have, including me.
I am Tantra Mukashitaru from La Paz, Bolivia who is writting this.

    Dear Guru,
Sorry for my error. You are right, we have been very ungrateful and irresposible, moreover I think also disrespecful.
There is no way we can learn something if it is not by the grace of the Guru. He doesn´t have a real obligation to teach us anything but thanks to his compassion he teaches us the Dharma and his method to attain clarity of mind.
One of the first things to do is to be grateful with the Guru and his teachings, we ca not repay him the value of his teachings. For that, thank you very much dear Guru I can never repay you, your kindness to teach me the Dharma.
Second, we must put in practice his teachings. We have not put into practice his teachings otherwise he wouldn´t write this article. I think we should meditate in this.
Third, we have to read and try to understand the lessons in the articles. I know is kind of difficoult when you don´t have a background in Buddhism but we have to make an effort searching for the meanings we don´t understand or ask Violet or Guru about its meaning. I know because my native language is Spanish, and I have to translate the teachings and sometimes the meanings might be difficoult to understand. But we have to make the right effort to understand them. We have to investigate as if it´s a lecture or a thesis, don´t forget we are students learning the Dharma.
Fourth, please lets participate in the meetings we have with Violet and the Guru. We don´t know how much effort and time they are putting in teaching us.

For that I want to thank Violet his kind patience and love to teach us Dharma and also the Guru for his time and efforts to spread the teachings overseas.
Please let the articles be open so we can read more of your teachings. Please don´t forget that it might take a kittle time to digest the teachings, remember we have no Buddhist context in our native places where we live.

I promise I will never be unthankful again. And will make the effort to always stay aware of the site and Guru´s teachings.

May you have a long and good life.
May all the Buddhas bless you, protect and guide you.
    May we all attain Buddhahood.

    Dear Holy Guru,

I have read this article already.

The article makes me to recall the magic journey from the first day I met you until now. I found my life has changed a lot. A good job, stable income, a great place to live, a free life in a beautiful island. That are all the things what I can not dare to dream before. And I know all are thanks to your teaching, thanks to The six Pure Mind Dharmas, especially ‘Samyagdrsti – Prabha Samadhi’.

Through the article, you remind me about the lesson of “three types of persons that are hard to find” that the Buddha taught. I feel regret for those who just believe something when seeing the results, who always know how to show the gratefulness to all the people they are grateful for in daily life, but the effort and the heart of Guru, the person who bring them the right view, the methods to the enlightenment.

I am grateful for your teaching.

May you have good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.

May all the sentient beings attain the happiness of Buddha nature.

May the Covid-19 pandemic end soon.

    Dear Guru,
I am immensely touched to read your article, there is no one could see through our minds and give us such insightful moral lessons as you have ever done. I recognized that in each example in reality in which we can easily say thank you to others, the context is always surrounded by the public eyes. Thus, the act of doing so leans toward serving the images of us in front of the public than sincere gratitude, which somehow reveals our true colors. Likewise, there are tons of people who always wait for a specific public holiday to say thank you to their beloved ones, and those words are mostly said in public places and tools such as social media channels. I feel ashamed to realize that without you pointing this out, I may and will have become one of those, even very subtle similar acts. For such small acts, people are willing to express their “gratitude”, however, with a person who is generous enough to give them a chance to change their life, they seem to have a very limited vocabulary. Putting thought into this seriously, I think no matter how desperate we are to search for words to describe Guru’s bodhicitta and wisdom to us and all sentient beings and to express our gratitude to Guru, it will never be enough. Not to mention that each time we do that, we sow the best deeds, simultaneously building up Guru devotion. I really appreciate that you have been always pointing out the truth to us and let us face it in a straightforward manner so that we can change ourselves much faster in order not to end up with bad consequences in the future. I happily praise Guru’s wisdom and bodhicitta. I really appreciate each and every word of Guru’s teachings. I sincerely pray for Guru’s health and longevity for the sake of all sentient beings.
May all sentient beings achieve the happiness of the Buddha’s nature.
    May Covid19 pandemic end soon.

    Dear holy Guru,
I am grateful enough to read these valuable teachings in this article. I have understood clearly that these teachings are originated from your compassion, kindness and Bodhicitta. Because you have no relations with us, you do not have to teach us or educate us to have a better life with no expectation.
We are so lucky to have you a Guru who sacifized his life for the liberation of all sentient beings. It is the one who truly wants us to go on the right path to have a happy life concerns our spiritual destiny and try his best to warn us to avoid the failure and sufferings.
I myself get numberous benefits from practicing six spiritual Dharmas invented by you, especially Samyagdrsti- Prabha Samadhi. I have learned that reading and commenting is a wonderful method to collect merit fast thanks to Guru’s compassion and Bodhicitta. Only the small action of reading with some simple line for reply, I can accumulate a huge amount of merit; especially show the gratitude to Guru and have a good chance to reply Guru’s kindness, which brings us to get closed to the city of liberation as the Buddha’s teachings.
Thank you so much for your kind teaching and give us a new life of a Buddhist with your precious words.
May you have good health and live long for the sake of all beings.
May all sentient beings bé awaken in the state of enlightenment.

  20. Tantra Mahacitta (Robert Clayton Jr - USA) says:

    Dear Guru,

I appreciate you writing and expressing your thoughts and concerns.

It is very understandable that you want to know that your efforts in preparing and writing these articles are not in vain and that you are, in fact, reaching your students. It is also understandable and noble that you, as a wise teacher, would want to see your students’ responses in order to know what they are understanding, and more importantly, what they need clarification on. I also acknowledge that I am very bad at leaving comments.

That being said, I know that I can safely say on behalf of myself and countless other students of yours that you are appreciated. I have listened to your students during and after countless classes and group meetings. Many of us have been deeply touched by your teachings and practices and there is a great deal of appreciation for all you and Violet do for us.

You can rest peacefully, like a giant oak tree, in the knowledge that many of your students are deeply appreciative to have effective methods to practice Buddhism in their daily lives, even those, like myself, whom you do not hear from nearly often enough.

I had studied, contemplated and meditated on many of Buddha’s core teachings for some time before I met Violet and subsequently you. This was, and still is a wonderful activity when I have the time to sit uninterrupted, usually sitting in my yard looking out over the countryside.

However, life is normally busy and I, like many I have met in our classes and group meetings, struggled to find ways to fit this “mind of Bodhicitta” into the busy parts of life. For myself and countless others, meeting Violet and you was a prayer answered.

Yes, Guru, rest easy knowing you are appreciated daily as I, and a great many other students, perform the Lotus Walking Dharani regularly, chant or recite the Mani Mantra regularly, Meditate on Bodhicitta regularly during all our previously mundane daily activities, and take refuge in the Three Jewels daily. These things we learned from you and Violet and have greatly benefited our journey on the path towards the ultimate enlightenment and liberation.

I do offer my apologies for the lack of commenting. I do understand why you want to hear from us. But, please never feel unappreciated.

I pray for Guru’s good health and long life for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Praise and honor to the Three Jewels of Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha

    Sincerely,
    Tantra Mahacitta

    Dear compassionate Guru,

I’m deeply moved by your article. As I think about the challenges of bringing Pure Mind Yoga to the English, Spanish…language alone, not to mention the constant writing, lecturing, managing work the Guru has to do so that we can have good outcomes in this life and the next, I’m deeply moved by the Guru’s compassion.

As I read about the benefits of practicing Samyagdrsti – Prabha Samadhi, I think about my own transformative experiences since I learnt about the Dharma. My life has become much better — I have a house, a better job, better relationships…I felt much more content about my life and I have a better goal to live which is to liberate myself and all sentient beings.

Haven’t been commenting on your English article for quite sometime, I felt regret for not being a grateful disciple. But on the other hand, I’m happy that we can still read the article about Samyagdrsti – Prabha Samadhi. I will try my best to revisit these articles. I fear the consequences of wrong view and don’t want to waste the chance to understand right views you have given to me.

May the Guru have good health and longevity for the benefit of all sentient beings.

May all sentient beings attain the happiness of Buddha’s nature. May the Covid-19 pandemic will soon be over.

Dear Tantra Mahacitta! I thank you for impressed me comment. I like it but want again explain my thoughts to you…

Appreciation is not my concern because I know who I am and how I am. I just want to teach you effectively. If I can’t do that, I’m not me. As a Master, he will be responsible for his students. So what you affirm their respect will be meaningless if you do not respond, which is only half of the right view. It is said that “believe but need to evaluate” words and ideas cannot be fully expressed without preserving them in writing. I understand you guys are busy, but writing a sentence “Thank you for this article! Om mani padme hum” might affect your work? I think and affirm that those who are dominated by wrong views and ingratitude should fear the light of right view, an aspect that benefits themselves and not me.

    Dear Guru,

    I have read this article.

Thank you Guru for your clarifying, explaining, and teaching help us to understand your decision as per “you should show the precious swords to a swordman you should mention poems with a poet”. I understand that every single thing you do, and don’t do, all comes from the Guru’s bodhichitta towards the true welfare and happiness for us as well as sentient beings. Thanks to Guru, with the special means of chanhtuduy.com, which is the wonderful mind dharma of “Samayagdrsti-PrahaSamadhi”, we have access to the right view, are equipped with the right view in all aspects, and inherit the wealth of invaluable intellectual property, to become noble people. Guru’s heart is open, you does not mind, does not hesitate to bring the Dharma closer, but the response in us is still indifferent, pale and narrow, causing ourselves to fall into wrong view group. Your words here to foreign dharma friends are also a valuable teaching that helps me remind myself more deeply of the value and benefits of right view, more appreciative of the blessings I have, I pray for myself and all of us will stay awake, mindful and attentive so as not to betray the Guru’s bodhicitta heart, not to waste the rare opportunity we have.

I am grateful to Guru. I happily praise the Guru’s virtues and merits. I pray for the health and longevity of Guru for the sakes of all sentient beings.

    Dear Guru!
I have read this article. Thank you so much for your compassion to explain us how much benifits is when we read and comment on chanhtuduy.com. I am aware of that because Guru don’t want us to lose our blessings due to our indifference, emotionless so the door leading to the treasure island has been closed gradually.
I recognized that nowhere in the world, we are able to practice Dhrama in such easy way as reading and commenting on chanhtuduy.com, it is one of six Pure mind Dharma named Samyagdrsti – Praha Samadhi invented by Guru based on Buddha’s teaching. I also understand that, in this day and age it is rare to find people who practice Dhrama, it is uncommon to find people who understand and practice right view. Moreover, it is also easy to practice, apply and quickly get the result so how stupid are we to return empty – handed when we reach the pearl island!
I will remember that, reading and commenting on chanhtuduy.com is one of ways to express “three types of persons that are hard to find”, a noble quatity comparable to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Thank you Guru for building the wonderful castle chanhtuduy.com by great intentions, thank you Guru for writing this benifit article.
May Guru have a good health and live long for the sake of sentient beings.
May all sentient beings attain the happiness of Buddha’s nature.

    Dear Guru,
I’m touched by your compassion in giving us this teaching letter so we understand how precious the access to chanhtuduy.com that we have. Commenting on articles on chanhtuduy.com is an effective way to accumulate merit as clarified by Guru in the letter. That’s our own benefit and our choice to read and express our gratitude to the writer, Guru and the Buddha. The more we do so (practice Samyagdrsti-Prabha Samadhi, one of six Pure Mind Dharma methods invented by Guru), the more benefit we gain. There is no sake for Guru at all from our reading and commenting, even our respect or gratitude.
Dear Guru, I’m so fortunate to be one of your disciples and to receive your regular teachings through chanhtuduy.com. Your Pure Mind Dharma has changed our lives day by day, bringing us more joy, more happiness, and more favourable conditions in life. It’s been 10 years now since the day I started practising your method of reading and commenting on chanhtuduy.com. Besides the achievements in my secular life that I didn’t dare to dream of (travel to New Zealand, live and work here, have a decent job with a career that I love, recently had the residence visa in New Zealand, to name just a few), my significant asset is the accumulated right view granted by Guru through his relentless teachings on chanhtuduy.com. I realised that I now have the invaluable power of fearlessness with the right view. Poorness, getting aged, unattractive appearance, being abandoned and death (the 5 top fears of a female) don’t worry us anymore as analysed in an article on chanhtuduy.com.
I am thankful to Guru for granting us your fortune, the Pure Mind Dharma.
I am grateful for your compassionate teachings to help us get more merit and correct our mistakes on time. May your teachings to us never end. May Guru, don’t be apart from the Holy Saints, please take care of us.
May Guru have good health, longliveness for upholding the Pure Mind Dharma for the benefit of all sentient beings.
May the Covid-19 pandemic soon come to an end.

Dear Guru thank you! for sharing this article. Also many thanks to Rose Tran for helping Guru in translating the articles in English.

This article opened our eyes and helped us in knowing the importance of reading and commenting on chanhtuduy.com

It’s very sad to know the learners read the articles but do not comment. Praying for them so they get a courageous mind and favorable conditions to read as well as comment on articles. As it would show their gratitude towards Guru and his efforts in providing valuable articles will not go into vein.

One can also read the topic ‘Three Types of Persons that are Hard to find’ which will help the learner in knowing the importance of repaying with kindness and being grateful to things that are worth of it.

By reading more articles and posting comments helps increases the academic value of Institute of ITA and helps the Guru to evaluate the learner.

It also provides Six Pure Mind Dharmas which helps the learner in achiveing enlightment.

Practising Samyagdristi – Prabha Samadhi leads learner to achieve
good fortune, inner-happiness, social accomplishment as mentioned by Guru. And many learners from Tantra House proved it.

Finally I would like to request Guru to shower his blessings on us so we all learners get favorable conditions to read and comment on articles. Without Guru’s blessings its not possible.

May Guru live long to uphold Dharma.

May All beings be free from suffering and get enlightment.

I don’t blame them because their practice will benefit themselves, not me! Why are there many stars in early mornings? The same is true if entering the castle of right view!

    Dear respected Guru,
I am so grateful when I have a chance to read and comment on this article written by Guru. Your message from this letter is very clear, full of loving-kindness and wisdom which enhance our right view and devotion toward Guru, Dharma, and Buddha. And most importantly, your teaching helps me and your disciple gain the main root for any success in both normal and dharma life. There are more than 50 articles, and hundreds of examples on chanhtuduy.com that have had showed the proof of the benefit when practising Pure Mind Dharma, especially on Samyagdrsti (Right view) – Prabha Samadhi. Moreover, many sutras and tantras have affirmed the inconceivable benefits of practising dharma under the guidance of a Guru.

    Dear respected Guru,
I understand that, in any social relationship, if I want to develop a stable and good relationship, I need to make efforts to build and nurture it with my efforts. It needs to be nurtured and cared for from both sides. A lasting relationship can hardly be built on one side only. So is society, let alone in the Dharma!
So if the Guru has tried to fulfil his responsibilities, what should the disciples do on the other side? The answer has been clearly outlined by your compassionate words in this article, and it is probably quite clear in the minds of students and disciples with a heart of devotion.
I hope that all dharma friends, whether in Vietnam or abroad, when reading these teachings from Guru, will get the mindfulness to wonder and reflect on their own body, speech, and mind behaviour and take action appropriate to their role – the role of a true disciple.

I sincerely pray that you have good health, peace and long life for the benefit of sentient beings everywhere.

May all sentient beings awaken to the wealth of being ashamed of others, ashamed of themselves.

I live in Cape Verde. A small archipelago off the western coast of Africa.
I am not from a Budhist culture and it is extremely difficult to have access to information on Budhism and Budha’s teachings. Yet, thanks to having met Violet one evening, she led me to you and for the past year, I have had access to the courses the Sangha meetings and to the articles. I have kearned so much through your teachings.
Yet… never stopped for a few minutes to say thank you.
Through the article, I felt like a glutton who ate and ate and ate, without being aware of my surroundings, taking for granted what was given to me.
My Dearest Holy Guru, please forgive my lack of humbleness and not having thanked you for your effort, your tome and for guiding me to the path that leads me to wisdom.
To a better place than I am now.
From the bottom of my hesrt
    Thank You
