The fact that I am not a student who had a good result in subjects that related to science.

I found that the series of inference in these scientific subjects were so incomprehensible and it was impossible that they can penetrate into my brain. I wondered why some of my classmates could understand all the laws, rules in physics, chemistry, biology, etc and solved them so easily. Strangely, until the age of twenty something when I approached Buddhism by reading and listening our Guru’s lectures, the interest for science has been gradually growing in me.

His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa

I could spend the whole day to find out about a particular topic related to science without getting bored. Program that helps me enrich knowledge about the nature of the phenomenon under the view of science is the utmost hobby that I often spend most of my time. In an article reporting on the visit of His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa in Vietnam, he ever said, “Buddhism is not a religion but a journey that helps sentient beings to live properly in a good direction. If you use Buddhism as a standard for useful people, that is the best way to practice Buddhism”. I did contemplate and realized that Buddhism and science are closely related. Science is also a journey, going through stages of investigation, research, practice, application, and results. Through the discovery of things’ nature to apply to benefit the real life.

Dalai Lama XIV

I even more happy when it seems to be a right direction when I happened to read one of Dalai Lama XIV’s talks that given on November 12, 2005 at the annual meeting of the Society of Neuroscience that said:” “With the ever growing impact of science on our lives, religion and spirituality have a greater role to play reminding us of our humanity. There is no contradiction between the two. Each gives valuable insights into the other. Both science and the teachings of the Buddha tell us of the fundamental unity of all things”. A book of HHDL named “The Universe in a single atom” The convergence of Science and Spiritual” also said:” “If scientific analysis were conclusively to demonstrate certain claims in Buddhism to be false, then we must accept the findings of science and abandon those claims”.

The meaning is not that Buddhism is subject to or follow the judgment of science, or it will be dismissed by science but to emphasize on the close relation between them.

  • You may ask, what relation could be there between Buddhism and a Buddhist practitioner?
  • What possible benefit could be there for a scientific discipline that is engaging in dialogue specialized in Buddhism?

The deeper I dive into the science talks, mostly on many sources in the internet and a famous talk show named TED Talks, I realize both Buddhism and science prefer to account for the evolution and emergence of the cosmos and life in terms of the complex interrelations of the natural laws of cause and effect.

Although Buddhist tradition and modern science have evolved from different historical, intellectual and cultural roots, I believe that at heart they share significant commonalities, especially in their basic philosophical outlook and methodology.

Almost all of us read many to a lot articles on, and you may even have got a deeper understanding than me so I will not discuss about anything of that. In this analysis writing, I would like to talk about the similarity between Buddhist and Science on METHODOLOGY.

These are five steps of a scientific method:

  • Step 1: Make an observation
  • Step 2: Ask a question & State a hypothesis
  • Step 3: Conduct an experiment
  • Step 4: Analyze the results
  • Step 5: Make a conclusion

Similarly, we have Buddhism with the Buddha who is a spiritual leader and teacher whose life serves as the foundation of the Buddhism. And his path of enlightenment follows these five steps.

[QUESTION] The prince reached his late 20s with little experience of the world outside the walls of his opulent palaces, but one day he ventured out beyond the palace walls and was quickly confronted with the realities of human frailty: He saw a very old man, and Siddhartha’s charioteer explained that all people grow old.

[STATE A HYPOTHESIS] Questions about all he had not experienced led him to take more journeys of exploration, and on these subsequent trips he encountered a diseased man, a decaying corpse and an ascetic.

[CONDUCT AN EXPERIMENT] At age 29, he left his kingdom, wife and son to lead an ascetic life, and determine a way to relieve the universal suffering that he now understood to be one of the defining traits of humanity.

[ANALYZE THE RESULTS] For the next six years, Siddhartha lived an ascetic life and partook in its practices, studying and meditating using the words of various religious teachers as his guide. He practiced his new way of life with a group of five ascetics, and his dedication to his quest was so stunning that the five ascetics became Siddhartha’s followers. When answers to his questions did not appear, however, he redoubled his efforts, enduring pain, fasting nearly to starvation, and refusing water.

Whatever he tried, Siddhartha could not reach the level of satisfaction he sought, until one day when a young girl offered him a bowl of rice. As he accepted it, he suddenly realized that corporeal austerity was not the means to achieve inner liberation, and that living under harsh physical constraints was not helping him achieve spiritual release. So he had his rice, drank water and bathed in the river. The five ascetics decided that Siddhartha had given up the ascetic life and would now follow the ways of the flesh, and they promptly left him. From then on, however, Siddhartha encouraged people to follow a path of balance instead of one characterized by extremism. He called this path the Middle Way.

[MAKE A CONCLUSION] That night, Siddhartha sat under the Bodhi tree, vowing to not get up until the truths he sought came to him, and he meditated until the sun came up the next day. He remained there for several days, purifying his mind, seeing his entire life, and previous lives, in his thoughts. During this time, he had to overcome the threats of Mara, an evil demon, who challenged his right to become the Buddha. When Mara attempted to claim the enlightened state as his own, Siddhartha touched his hand to the ground and asked the Earth to bear witness to his enlightenment, which it did, banishing Mara. And soon a picture began to form in his mind of all that occurred in the universe, and Siddhartha finally saw the answer to the questions of suffering that he had been seeking for so many years. In that moment of pure enlightenment, Siddhartha Gautama became the Buddha (“he who is awaken”)

From the methodological perspective, both traditions emphasize the role of empiricism. The mentioned example of the Buddha is the evidence of the experience that takes precedence. This means that, in the Buddhist investigation of reality, at least in principle, empirical evidence should triumph over scriptural authority, no matter how deeply venerated a scripture may be. Even in the case of knowledge derived through reason or inference, its validity must derive ultimately from some observed facts of experience. For example, when a person gives teaching about meditation, he himself can not sit in the lotus position or a person who is praising the miracles of the teachings but his practice is of relegating superstitious practices. That is also why the  12th Gyalwang Drukpa said, “There are people who praise the Buddha’s teachings but not practice it”. It was one of the most serious failures in Gampopa’s teaching that “To be erudite in precepts yet ignorant of the spiritual experiences which come from applying them is to be like a rich ma who has lost the key of his treasury. This is a grievous failure”.

Although science is a powerful way to bring people closer to the truth of the universe and bring about great improvements in human life, much of the scientific inventions are lying out of the cognition of human beings, it means those inventions was to serve the raw perspective only. The last few decades have witnessed tremendous advances in the scientific understanding of the human brain and the human body as a whole. But science is still in the process of learning and not really approach deeper inside the human’s mind. In contrast, Buddhism deeply reflects on the functioning of the body mind and speech of human beings (quoting the Tibetan Yoga article). Scientific researchers can broaden their knowledge and awareness through scientific achievements every year, but no matter how big those inventions are, they haven’t got any real experiences in the field of conscious changes. While the most amazing transformation is the working of mind transformation.

By the revolution of science, Dalai Lama XIV did suggest that there should be a wide range of contemplative techniques or meditation practices that aim specifically at two principal objectives:

  • The cultivation of a compassionate heart
  • The cultivation of deep insights into the nature of reality
  • The union of compassion and wisdom (these two above)

But it also becomes crucial to raise the question of whether any specific techniques have time-sensitivity in terms of their effectiveness, so that new methods can be tailored to suit the needs of age, health, and other variable factors.

That lets us know the importance of finding out METHOD to practice Dharma that is suitable to the development of age, health and other variable factors. This is confirmed in MANY of our comments that appraised on our Guru’s methods on At the meantime we realize how happy we are that we not only learn the cultivation of compassionate heart and deep insights into the nature of reality but also being transferred METHODs by our Guru.

Regarding our Song Nguyen Tantra House’s methodology, I would like to mention clearly again here six methods:

In my limited understanding, the specific areas of science I will present to prove the close relation between our methodology with science are physics, cosmology, biology and psychology, neurobiology.

I. BIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY (The human brain and body functions)

It was amazed me when I came to explore the power of the human brain. Never in my life that I was so surprised to realize that I own to myself such an amazing treasure. Here are some things that I can share with you:

  • Anyone who used to spend the university time gave thoughts that “Oh My god my brain is full”, especially when it comes to the the stream of examinations? In fact, even with a people with a particular tiny head will not certainly ever has the change to full his brain. Although there must be a physical limit to how many memories we can store, it is extremely large.
  • The human brain consists of about one billion neurons.
  • Each neuron forms about 1,000 connections to other neurons, amounting to more than a trillion connections.
  • If each neuron could only help store a single memory, running out of space would be a problem. You might have only a few gigabytes of storage space, similar to the space in an iPod or a USB flash drive. Yet neurons combine so that each one helps with many memories at a time, exponentially increasing the brain’s memory storage capacity to something closer to around 2.5 petabytes (or a million gigabytes): 1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes
  • For comparison, if your brain worked like a digital video recorder in a television, 2.5 petabytes would be enough to hold three million hours of TV shows. You would have to leave the TV running continuously for more than 300 years to use up all that storage.

Science hasn’t found any method to measure the exact storage capacity of a brain. And most human beings don’t use up to 10% of their brain capacity. So we can store as much information as we want/need/desire without any fear of running out of space.

Any information that processed by the brain is ingrained in the human subconscious. Certain memories involve more details and thus take up more space; other memories are forgotten and thus free up space. Additionally, some information is just not worth remembering in the first place.

Even if a person doesn’t give any thought, the brain is still active and acquainted with the thoughts that it often deals with. For example, one person seems to be a free of thinking person and he/she doesn’t like to do anything (another way of calling “lazy” person or the unemployed one) at all then his brain “seems” to rest, but they are often being stressed out, and cause the brain to transmit negative effects to the rest. The body produces many stress hormones that can kill, shrink and prevent the production of new neurons in the brain. So you know, laziness is not a temporary character of a person and not given by nature, it is established stably every day by the information that you sent to your brain.

So what is the difference in information processing between the brain of ordinary people and the brain of a Buddhist practitioner?

How to utilize your “supercomputer”?

For ordinary people, especially in the modern digital age, they are constantly receiving a lot of information from modern electronic devices from early morning to falling asleep. They keep updating information from countless sources such as newspapers, word of mouth, phones, computers and stuffing them into the brain. Suppose if you ask them where is the east or the west, many people do not even know how to identify but if you ask them about the private life of famous stars, they can tell easily. Thereby, we find that people generally have no choice in receiving information streams and that much of the information they put into the brain. Most of the information is negative and not helpful for the growth of the brain. Nowadays, young people tend to follow the trend of the times because of the overwhelming spread of the mass media. It can be said that the mass media is now shaping the public’s awareness and contributing to the “production” of a mass public figures. Then, the brain is in a state of receiving information passively, and getting familiar with receiving information massively. On the contrary, with a Song Nguyen Tantra House’s Buddhist, the information we receive every day is the teachings of the Buddha transmitted through Guru’s articles and lectures on the website, followed by the activities of the dharma practices both in social spaces and holy spaces. Through this, we not only transmit positive information to the brain but also spread the wave of quintessence to it which helps to accelerate the production of new neurons. This is also the reason why practitioners who practice diligently often looks lucrative and rosy in their appearance because their raw and subtle elements are working in harmony. That is not to mention the practice of helping to assimilate the accumulation of merit and wisdom, which means that gradually the practitioner better understands the teachings of the Buddha, getting cleverer in dealing with worldly issues. So what is the most significant and frequent information we, the Buddhist practitioner send to our brain everyday? It is mostly the thought of Dharma and Buddhist teachings that was taught by our Guru. So we not only sent POSITIVE information to the brain but also enrich our brain with merits which presented as deep insights into the nature of reality. As I mentioned earlier, this writing will focus on the METHODOLOGY.

  1. “Meditation on Bodhicitta” through 16 daily activities:

By practicing meditation on Bodhicitta, the practitioner utilizes 16 daily activities as a means of reaching enlightenment. These are inseparable activities in a normal person’s present life. The intensity of these movements, more or less depends on the situation, but it must always be done and stretched throughout the day from waking up to going to bed.

Then the information received by the brain is positive thinking because they are heading to the benefit of sentient beings. On the top of the iceberg, brain cells get used to positive effects, forgetting the negative effects and that creates a positive habit. On the other hand, the Dharma transfer delivered by Guru will make your thought connect through the blessing of Avalokiteshvara so what we cultivate is the merits.

For example, when eating you bless all the sentient beings eat Buddha’s food, instead of considering the food is good or bad (there are positive or negative distinctions), the practitioner prays for all beings to use meditation food. This is also the spirit of “simple preservation of virtue,” contrary to the spirit of promoting vegetarianism and eating meat, causing pressure on the brain. When the body is forced to eat vegetarian food, feeling aversion to eating meat, the impact on the brain is the difference between the positive and negative streams. It is a subjective assessment, and is the mind of samsara. It is not surprising that these people are as vegetarian as the transplanters of the samsara seed.

  1. Samayagdrsti-Praha Samadhi (reading and giving comments on

Rather than reading social newspapers or participating in other social networks only to provide information to the brain (which may be negative), reading the lectures and articles on brings about positive effects for readers (they can understand the nature of reality, phenomena, leading to no longer fear and bound by what causes suffering which is originally the tradition of the world). By accessing this information, the practitioner communicates positive energy to the brain. For practitioners who have been taught the true teachings from our Guru, they will be connected to the holy energy of the deity through the channel of the Guru. Even in the situation that the practitioner tries to concentrate on understanding a problem related to the dharma through Guru’s lectures, the more accessible the brain being wrapped in the magnetic energy of the deity.

  1. Listening to Dharma teachings: Justin Perry, a psychologist who is the founder of the well-known brain-infectious communication channel on Youtube, has proven that even listening to negative lyrics can have a negative impact on the brain, due to the negative wave of the singer and the negative emotions transmitted through the lyrics. That is the reason why people who are sad will be more suffering while listening to a desperate song. On the other hand, the practice of right understanding consists of listening to the lecture of the Guru and is transmitted from the school of luminous teacher and Right view waves (blessing waves) from the lecture represented for the Guru and therefore will bring positive impact to the brain.
  2. Guru instructed on “Lotus walking Dharani”

    Lotus walking Dharani : Many researches has been made on conditioned reflexes, when practicing something regularly, the brain is accustomed to it and becomes more mature and produces unconditional reflexes. Thus the continuous practice of the Dharma every day, every minute, through the method of our Guru will help shape conditioned reflexes in the intermediate existence body. Lotus walking Dharani (taking the left foot first and silently recite “Om Mani” and next stepping the right foot and silently recite “Padme Hum”. Everyday, how many steps that you are walking, how many mantras you have recited. At once you accumulate merits and wisdom by reciting silently mantras while stepping. I would like to mention five main benefits of reciting mantras: (1) getting respect from others (including human beings, god, Asura); (2) increasing life expectation, health and material achievement; (3) reducing afflictions (descending from seriously suffering to less, from less to nothing; (4) conquering (exorcizing and overcoming the forces of evil spirits to harm humans); (5) convening the pure power (gathering the subtle energies in the universe from the highest realms of Pure Land).

  1. Meditation: Scientists demonstrated that an area of the brain called the Amygdala lymph node, which links with emotions and fear, will shrink after an eight weeks’ period of meditation practice. In addition, the frontal cortex associated with concentration, cognition and decision-making becomes thicker. The scale of changes in the areas of the brain correlates directly with the number of hours of meditation practice. We, Buddhist practitioners, are stepping everyday and we are moving as well so by our Guru’s methodology of meditation in active states will give us a 24/24 practice covering the whole day. So the practitioners will gain for themselves the awareness, concentration, mindfulness to solve every tasks of the day with clarity. Moreover, they gain the merits and wisdoms as well.

This is easy to see and easy to prove effective through the practice of Dharma practitioners at Song Nguyen Tantra House: Many practitioners’ starting point are not from the intellectual classes, there are people who just finished high school, but after a period of practice (after receiving the true teachings of Guru), their logical thinking is improved gradually and it can be seen through their comments on This is an expression of the cerebral cortex in the forehead connected to their ability to think, to create have been improved. Moreover, by reading the article and understanding the nature of things, , they stay away from the habit of wrong view and fearlessness. By maintaining their meditation and tranquility activities they are becoming more courageous and independent in their life. Thus, the brain regions associated with their emotions and fears are significantly reduced. Therefore, if ordinary people are constantly pressured by feelings of fear, loss, praise, glory, pleasure; this area of the Buddhist practitioner is comparably not large by their powerful weapons (the basis of right Buddhist understanding). The great Maharaja Guru named Marpa, the master of Milerepa (who was praised as Buddha enlightenment in one life) declared: “In addition to the practice time in the holy space, the practice should be proceeded in daily lives. That circuit is as the river flowing endlessly. That is the practice of pure mind practice which helps to liberate from the ignorance. Not being distracted is practicing meditation. Thus, the practice of Song Nguyen Tantra House is not only follows the principles, the teachings of the Buddha but also meet the dialectical science that the scientific evidence has shown.

More on the neurobiology section, a neurologist named Christopher deCharms and his team in February 2008 announced a discovery about a device called fMRI (a device take picture of the brain, for diagnosing brain function and activity). It is available for reading thoughts, emotions as well as the pain of human. Through this, they apply to adjusting and changing the negative emotions of people, especially those with serious diseases. Henry Markram (a neurologist) and his team also prove that a brain is a supercomputer, and has been in the process of finding a means of “reading” that computer in order to Overcome the negative emotions of people. As a result, they can change the health status. Those two studies yielded some positive results. However, in order to see the difference in the effectiveness in subconscious exploration and changes in the positive direction, here is the comparison table:

This device will capture changes in the biological and mechanical functioning of the brain. Based on the photographs, scientists will be able to read how different areas of the brain are performing. They will be assessing changes in these areas to make judgments about the state of health and well-being of the person.

However, this method is still in the process of research and improvement but not completed. A number of vulnerabilities have been identified that can cause thousands of brain studies  scanned the fMRI device can be wrong, up to 50% or more. In addition, researcher Jens Foell of Florida State University has compared the fMRI method as using a frosted glass to look at the most complex objects in the universe.

Without using any machine to test the results, we can easily realize the good outcomes from most/all of our Dharma brothers because of their social status, achievement, and even their appearance

This method has been perfected as it has gone through all steps of a scientific research process: make an observation, ask a question and state a hypothesis, conduct an experiment, analyze the results, make a conclusion. If the fMRI device is described as a “frosted glass”, the method of the Song Nguyen Tantra House can be considered as a magnifying glass that illuminates the nature of things and phenomena in the universe.

The device only works during activated time. While the brain is continually affected by surrounding environment, intermittent reading of brain activity is ineffective (not to mention the solution to handle the information obtained is not yet interpreted) Works every time, anywhere (24/24).
The enormous cost of operating this type of device is estimated at about $ 600 per hour (~ $ 13.6 million VND). This not only causes the research to be limited by the number of samples collected, but the fact that very few organizations have enough money to conduct repeated experiments to obtain accurate results. All kind of subjects are capable of performing without financial pressure. The methodology is suitable for nationality, ethnicity, modernity standard; especially in the current development era when practitioners are bound in many social and occupational relationships.

The ultimate goal is to change the mental and physical health of people. Guru’s methodology help the practitioner not only practice the body, speech, but also the transformation of the mind called positive mind transformation. Thus, the points of action in the brain are automatically shifted in a positive direction, so that even from mild to mild, from mild to nothing and negative attitudes to disease significantly reduced

Accordingly, the practitioner changes his physical and mental health automatically.

Even when people can change their physical health, they are still surrounded by Eight Winds (prosperity, decline, disgrace, honor, praise, censure, suffering and pleasure) and their minds are still consumed by negative emotions. . Buddhist practitioner has a weapon against the Eight Winds and becomes independent & more self-reliant in life.


A Russian biologist named Ivan Pavlov (1849-1936) first discovered the process of classical conditioning in his experiments on the digestive response of dogs. He noticed that the dogs naturally salivated in response to food, but that the animals also began to drool whenever they saw the white coat of the lab assistant who delivered the food. Accordingly, unconditioned stimulus is an unlearned response that occurs naturally in reaction to the unconditioned stimulus. For example, if the smell of food is the unconditioned stimulus, the feeling of hunger in response to the smell of food is the unconditioned response. It occurs without any type of learning or training. Some more examples of unconditioned responses include: Gasping in pain after being stung by a bee, jerking your hand back after touching a hot plate on the oven, jumping at the sound of a loud noise, etc. Conditioned stimulus is a neutral stimulus that triggers some sort of response when paired or associated with an unconditioned stimulus (natural stimulus). The response triggered then is referred to as conditioned response.

Scientists have proven that while working hard on something constantly for a long time, the brain will become accustomed to that habit so much that it becomes ingrained into the subconscious mind of the brain, forming a durable connection that connects the regions of the cerebral cortex together, turning the conditioned reflex into the unconditioned reflex. Of course, this process must be carried out repeatedly. Then the continuous practice of the dharma every day, every second, through the practice of our Guru will help the practitioner to form conditioned reflexes. Because this practice lasts until the highest enlightenment of the practitioner’s life, the journey throughout the practitioner’s lifetime will help to translate conditioned reflexes into unconditioned reflexes. It will help the practitioner to use that as a decisive weapon in order to overcome obstacles in order to reborn in the Pure Land.


Isaac Newton

There are many scientific revolutions, in this presentation I will talk about one widely recognized, one of the most influential scientists of all time and a key figure in the scientific revolution – Isaac Newton (1642-1727) and his breathtaking foundation which is the Law of Motion and Universal Gravitation. In addition to being a legendary physicist, he was also an English astronomer, philosopher, mathematician, and alchemist who was considered a great and influential scientist of the world. He was honored by the world science as “the founder of classical physics”.

It is one of the most famous anecdotes in the history of science. The young Isaac Newton is sitting in his garden when an apple falls on his head and, in a stroke of brilliant insight, he suddenly comes up with his theory of gravity. He was particularly obsessed by the orbit of the Moon around the Earth, and eventually reasoned that the influence of gravity must extend over vast distances. After seeing how apples always fall straight to the ground, he spent several years working on the mathematics showing that the force of gravity decreased as the inverse square of the distance.

Newton’s law of universal gravitation realized that ALL objects attract each other with a force of gravitational attraction. Gravity is universal. This force of gravitational attraction is directly dependent upon the masses of both objects and inversely proportional to the square of the distance that separates their centers. The greater the masses of the two objects pulling on each other, the stronger the gravitational force would be between them.



Newton 1: An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. When someone is in a certain state, if no one or something is involved, he or she will remain in that state forever.

It can be understood that there will be a 100-year-old child if they are “raised” in that condition. Or without the right understanding, sentient beings will remain forever in the Samsara.

Newton 2: The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object. The speed at which a person’s life changes is proportional to the forces they input their life (positive or negative). This rate is proportional to the level of impact (as fast as possible) and is inversely proportional to the predetermined destiny of the person.

For example, a person with many bad karma, so the rate of change is slow. Opposite is also correct.

Newton 3: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. The size of the forces on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object. The direction of the force on the first object is opposite to the direction of the force on the second object.

When a person sows a good deed, he will reap the same consequence. This is extremely exactly.

In the New Thought philosophy, the law of attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts people can bring positive or negative experiences into their life.

Both the method of Bob Proctor and the Song Nguyen Tantra House in general are based on the general principle that when people (or sentient beings) plant a strong thoughts (sowing) then in the future, they will turn those thoughts into reality. Of course, there must be actions throughout the process. However, the methodological differences as well as the effectiveness of these two methods can be seen as a very long distance based on the speed of efficiency as follows:

This method requires the practitioner to follow strict and regular rules during a long time.

(In “The Path to Success”, Bob Proctor presented the principle of success that he summarized and described as “simple” by listing 67 different key topics related to Bob Proctor’s online programs like “6 Minutes a Day for Success” or “The Art of getting rich” those who want to get rich must open this video every morning and remember the things teaching in the video).

This training is not suitable for people at old ages and those who are busy with many worries.

The practice of the Song Nguyen Tantra House is easy to implement and can be done anywhere, any time of the day. Practitioners can choose a method that suitable for a certain period of time to practice.

The method is also suitable for all subjects from the elderly, children, educators, workers or any social positions.

Especially for tantric practitioners, when the authentic transmission from the teacher, the results obtained from the new practice takes place and occurs faster. It is clear that the practitioners of the Song Nguyen Tantra House quickly transformed their worldly lives in the direction of prosperity: better work, better jobs, better problem-solving skill, less work pressure, lucrative appearance, more freshness, ..

Not effective for the majority.

Bob Proctor is a successful example of this approach, but the number of successful people like Bob Proctor is rare.

Only those who are really determined and have the strong will can do this.

For easier illustration, the number of people evaluating the effectiveness of this method is one in a million.

Effective for all practitioners practicing Dharma (in the right track), as reflected in Song Nguyen Tantra House in general (quantity and quality) and most disciples of Song Nguyen Tantra House.

All subjects are able to perform these methods without the need of psychological pressure.

General figure to evaluate the effectiveness of this method is 100/100.

The cost of pursuing this enrichment method must be high. No fee required, this is an economic approach.

In the lecture of “Explanation of Wealth in Buddhist views” by our Guru that said we, Song Nguyen Tantra House’s disciples don’t practice under the idea of becoming rich people (material world) but to enrich our compassion towards all sentient beings. From that kind of practice, our righteous wishes will automatically come true (self-cultivation moves the blessings)

In the lecture “How to become rich in Buddhist views” by Guru Thinley Nguyen Thanh on, he taught that Buddhist practitioners enrich their wisdom and compassion towards all sentient beings. The Buddhist’s true treasure is seven treasures of enlightened beings which are faithfulness, vigor, shamefulness, broad knowledge, forgiveness or abandonment, concentration or Samadhi and wisdom. In the fourth Awakening of the Eight Awakenings of Great People, the Buddha said “The awareness of the extent to which laziness is an obstacle to practice. For this reason, we must practice diligently to destroy the unwholesome mental factors which bind us and to conquer the four kinds of Mara, in order to free ourselves from the prison of the five aggregates and three worlds”. Then, “knowing enough” and “wisdom” are factors that makes a Buddhist practitioner getting rich. So Buddhist practitioners who are carrying the poor situation according to the standards of the real world but he/she follows the teachings of the Buddha then he/she will eventually become rich in the Buddhist view. When the practitioners practice the dharma, their secret desires are also fulfilled, their lives are gradually improved automatically in the upward direction as the Guru’s saying that said “self-reliant, self-sustaining”.


Through the analysis of the similarities in our Guru’s methodology under the basis of scientific research in some outstanding mentioned fields, we come to realize that:

  1. The six spiritual initiatives follow the dialectical science and go through the five experimental stages of science:
  • Step 1: Ask a question
  • Step 2: State a hypothesis
  • Step 3: Conduct an experiment
  • Step 4: Analyze the results
  • Step 5: Make a conclusion
  1. These methods are not only applied in accordance with scientific procedures, close to the reality and practical, easy to apply and quick to achieve results. Particularly significant for lay practitioners having social and busy social life and responsibilities. The “weaknesses” has been taken advantage by our Guru and transformed into “strengths” which become means/methods for practitioners to practice Dharma and accumulate merit and wisdom much faster.
  2. These methods are practical. All the evidences that proved on the basis of science are being on the process of discovery. Therefore, the transformation in the human subconscious is only in theoretical stage but not any clear results. While the methods of the Song Nguyen Tantra House are both theoretically and practically. There are many practical results based on a variety of “samples” to prove.

To finish the analysis with my two main themes which are Buddhism and Science, I would like to quote two famous statements from both of these areas. A legendary physicist named Albert Einstein has said that “Any darn fool can make something complex, it takes genius to make something simple”. Likewise, a Buddha’s teaching that said” The fools always turn what is noble into ordinary. But the wise always turn what the complicated teachings into means to get liberation”.

The more knowledge I studied and developed in different areas of science, the more grateful that I felt. I am not only able to access the Buddha’s teaching by the familiar social words in our Guru’s articles and lectures, but also being taught with practical methods in accordance with nationality, nationality, modernity on the basis of dialectical science. I am fortunate to be a disciple of the Song Nguyen Tantra House, the Center for Research and Application of Tibetan Yoga, the UNESCO Club for Research and Application Tibetan Yoga. This great fortune not only led me to a very new page in my life but also helped me to discover the greatest part of human life is to become a true Buddhist practitioner, thanks to the great encounter with a true Guru.

Dear respected Guru,

I would like to take this chance to appreciate Guru’s compassion and wisdom that save us from the suffering Samsara, provide us not only a way but a very fast way to approach the Pure land in our next lives.

    Also highly impressed by Dalai Lamaji’s speach in which His Holiness says ” If scientific analysis were conclusively to demonstrate certain claims in BUDDHISM to be false,then we must accept the findings of Science and abandon those claims.! ”

    Both Science and Buddhism are interrelated in the natural laws of cause and effect. Buddha always taught by his experience the golden Middle path instead of that of extremists.

    A brief life sketch of Buddha’s ascetic life is given in the course of this article. But could any body answer  how for it is right on the part of Buddha, in this context, to abandon his wife and son Rahul in such a young age for no fault of theirs going to the forest asetic life, neglecting the obligatory duties of a husband and father ?

    The writer of this article, my Dharma brother, has beautifuly described the anotomy and physiology of the Brain in relation to Dharma Practices and meditation undergoing at Song Nguyen Tantra House. He has shown that the Human brain is a super computer!

    I highly appreciate your wonderful effort to write such a nice article based on proven science to clarify the countless benefits of Guru’s six marvelous methods which is suitable with the present age of technology and is experimented under the scientific steps.

    All comparation and arguments made in a such imformative article has proven the way of thoughts from a scientist. This article supports me to understand clearly the proven science of yoga of mind training. As the scientist, Egerton C. Baptist (1915-1983), had written in the book “Supreme Science of the Buddha” as follows: “Buddhism begins where science ends. Science can give no assurance herein. But Buddhism can meet the Atomic Challenge, because the supramundane knowledge of Buddhism begins where science leaves off. And this is clear enough to anyone who has made a study of Buddhism. For, through Buddhist Meditation, the atomic constituents making up matter have been seen and felt, and the sorrow, or unsatisfactoriness (or Dukkha), of their ‘arising and passing away’ has made itself with what we call a ‘soul’ or ‘atma’ – the illusion of Sakkayaditthi, as it is called in the Buddha’s teaching.”

    In addtion, Bertrand Russell also wrote in “History of Western Philosophy”: Buddhism is a combination of both speculative and scientific philosophy. It advocates the Scientific method and pursues that to a finality that may be called rationalistic…It takes up where science cannnot lead because of the limitations of the latter’s physical instruments.

    It proves that Guru’s six marvelous methods are accordance with the proven steps of science, but beyond science, the benefits of six marvelous methods are inconceivable. It helps all beings have a happy life, get successful in career and high social position. The most importance lies on the inner happiness for all practitioners who learn six marvelous methods from Guru. May Guru and his consort have a good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.

    I am thankful to my Guru for being kind enough to get this letter sent to me, which was read on 18th of the February 2018, in the conference, at Hoci- Minh City of Vietnam, in the conference, organized on the pious eve of his birthday. Fortunately by his kind grace I too was there to witness that grand occasion. This is a wonderful paper, nicely but meticulously written in a lucid manner, representing the scientific temper of Buddha and Buddhism. For me it is a pleasant surprise as I too authored a paper,  long back, entitled,  ” Caturvyuhavad, Four Dimensional Theory: The singular basis of Medical Science, the Science of Yoga and the Buddhist Four Noble Truth: A Biomedical study”. Though, my paper hinges on one aspect of the science but the canvass this letter is much greater than mine, as it has included in itself a vast spectrum, comprising of physics, philosophy, neuroscience and psychology besides generalization of science and Buddhism, in a technical way following the scientific methodology.  Since it is too long, about 19 pages, it took much of time in reading it in several sittings due to my ill health, hectic schedule and frequent movement from one place to another.

    It is a fact that science, religion and philosophy are rooted in wonder. The basic question for all the three is what is the ultimate reality? After knowing it the tragedies and comedies of life may evaporate and evolve some revealing truths at different levels? Hence, they all approach to the question and make the quarry in almost similar way. But moving on the same road up to some extent the paths starts getting separated owing to the leaning, methodology and the need. All the three have the tension of brooding and speculation, but vary in intensity, approach and methodology. This is why they have up to some extant similar Modus -operandi. This is the reason they come to the same result, following almost similar paths of empirical experimentation, at different levels. Physics, metaphysics and religion have physical, mental and spiritual broodings and speculations respectively. That is why in some quarters of Philosophy and Religion it is felt that the remarkable development of neuroscience may sweep away the ground of the anthropology of religion and philosophy from beneath their feet. I do not hesitate in saying that the Indian tradition and Buddhist Religion are considered to be the reflective examination of the science, as their illumining lamps, as it were. Although the search for the physical basis of human personality and behaviour has been as old as mankind, the breakthroughs in the recent years through the development of the neuroscience have produced a revolution not only in therapy but also thrown to earlier medical practices as well as to the invention of the computer science and the boost and blast of its knowledge. The Buddhist Tantric practice involves hypnotic autosuggestions. The practice of Samadhi  or Samayagdrsti-Praha Samadhi enables us to move back from our abnormal behaviour to its roots in the activity of nervous system . The study of nervous system has acquired a new depth owing to the combine efforts of psychologists, psychiatrists, bio-chemists, endocrinologists, micro-surgeon and newly developed techniques of mapping and imagining the brain through X-rays (CAT) and magnetic resonance (MRI). Similarly significant is the discovery of different patterns of ‘brain waves’ which characterize normal, waking and sleep as well as of mental disorder.

    In the Tantric practice of the Tibetan Buddhism the entire complexity of state of consciousness and their definite neural concomitance have been discovered. The prevailing supposition of the Buddhist Yoga believes in the primacy of consciousness. For it the commonly experienced dependence of consciousness on the body is not necessary rather these are the adventitious facts arising out of the Karmic pastor conative formation of consciousness and certain eradicable defects in it. The proper perusal of the methods and the practices of SONG NGUYEN TANTRA HOUSE’ will reveal that here the purification of consciousness means its detachment from physical appetite and egocentric propensities, as well as broadening the mental horizon for all the sentient beings. She has nicely demonstrated that how the Tantric practices prescribed by our Guru is scientific in nature and helpful in sublimation of our mundane life. She has explained various Tantric practices like , Meditation on Bodhicitta, Samayagdrsti-Prabha Samadhi, Listening to Dharma teachings, Lotus walk and many others are helpful solving our mundane and supra-mundane problems of life, here and here-after.

    In the same way the author of this article has made a beautiful job of making a macro level  enquiry, survey and a comparative study of Tantric Buddhism and the the modern science in a meticulous way .In this short span of comment it is not feasible to incorporate all the findings . She deserves complements and commendation for this tremendous work.  Venerable our holy Dalai Lama jee has delivered several talks on this subject for spreading the conscious of the utility of Buddhist tradition and it’s Yoga among the modern man and rising world of science.

    I have read the article and found it fascinating. Many good ideas. Buddhism has always been, in my humble opinion, an incredibly powerful way to live your life.  Over 50 years ago a man wrote a book called “The Power of Positive Thinking”. It became the “bible” for people wanting to change their lives. Buddha beat him to the punch by 2,450 years.
