Letter from Philippines: Refuging on Guru’s wisdom, I get self-transfomation through reading and comment. (Thư Philippines: NƯƠNG TỰA VÀO TRÍ TUỆ CỦA THẦY, CON THAY ĐỔI ĐƯỢC BẢN THÂN THÔNG QUA ĐỌC BÀI VÀ COMMENT.)

Greetings to the Holy Guru

Change is constant and inevitable. Some found it hard to deal with, others think it’s harmful. But it is the only way to grow.

Change is the only way to grow.

There was once I read that says, “Your comfort zone could kill you”. That to me then is confusing. Until such time that I came to a point where I felt a great diversion of my flows in life. I used to be in a very comfortable ways wherein each time I need to have something, any members from my family could come and provide me for it. I lay down on my bed every night without thinking of what comes next for the following day. I was really in my confort zone.

“Your comfort zone could kill you”.

Until one day came out, when everything turn into questions. I walk and kneel down to a God I’ve been praying since I was born. Asking him to provide me back what I got used to. But nothing came out, questions still remain. Even got worse.

I walk and kneel down to a God I’ve been praying since I was born

As days moved on, months passed by. I got nothing but confusions. Career weakens, financial shakened. I felt like life is tragic. I got friends but I know they can do nothing for what I am going through. I locked down myself most of the time within the corner of my 5 by 7 meters room. I talked with the walls around me, the ceilings, the floor; yet none of them spoke back.

I felt like life is tragic!

Then there was one certain moment when I got to learn about Buddhism. This learning got deeper through the help of a wonderful friend, and introduced me to chantuduy.com. It was then when I realized the message of change; that nothing and no one can do the transformation of me rather than my self. As what the Buddha said in the article, ” don’t try to change the universe but rather change your way of thinking, coz the universe exist within you.” (So Hum). Through the amazing wisdom of the Holy Guru and great articles, I was able to cope up changes and be friended with it.

Tantra Maruta, from the Philippines

Mhat is all about existing, what is all about being in this realm. For changes never stops as long as we are willing to grow, willing to exist.

My deepest gratitude to the Holy Guru for his great wisdom. My love and respect to a great friend, sister in distance, Mat Diue Hanh, for beying so kind always.

  1. Mật Nhất Nguyên (Lê Duy Trí) says:

    Dear Tantra Maruta,
Your article deeply touches me. Your story is also the story of many, finding true values beyond a comfortable life.

I have read a quote; generally, it talks about how one tends to unaware that he/she is living in the best time of one’s life, until it passed. Sometimes, the only thing left for us is hope for a miracle.

Since I knew about the Dharma, I realized that, there is no miracle more extraordinary than th miracle of meeting a Guru. I rather fail in life and meet the Guru than have a comfortable life but trapped in the prison of ignorance.

Fortunately, Pure mind Yoga and the Guru have supported me both in life and the Dharma and helped me in my path to fulfill many goals: “self-happiness, overcome hindrances, success in life” and “peace in this life, ultimate bliss for the next.”

As my thanks and support for your article, I will quote a teaching I found in Song Nguyen Tantra House Dharma Practice Guidelines:

“At this moment, if I do not take advantage of this life, then afterward, I will not regain the human body to achieve liberation. If I exhaust my merits in this life, like other beings at their leisure, after death, I will wander in the lower realms as an inferior being. I will not realize virtue or evil; I will not hear the Dharma. I will not meet a virtuous friend, and this is a great disaster. Considering the population of all sentient beings, I understand that obtaining a human life is hardly possible. The enlightened ones also asserted that human beings often act evil against the Dharma, while those who act accordingly are as few as the morning stars.

O Guru Padmasambhava, please turn my mind towards the Dharma.
All-Knowing Lords, do not let me deviate into any wrong and inferior path.
Compassionate Guru, who is not different from them, please look after me.”

Thank you for your article. I pray for the fulfillment of all your rightful wishes.
May the suffering of all sentient beings be subsided.
May the Coronavirus outbreak be eliminated.

    Om Mani Padme Hum.

    Dear Tantra Maruta,

I am happy with your sharing from the Philippines. I realize that self-change is important and it’s the only way to develop ourselves. In other words, everyone wants to seek happiness, but only by changing oneself (following the right path of Dharma), one could achieve his/her wishes. As your own experiences, praying before God did not help. It even made your life worse, because it was in the right path of righteous Dharma, it did not help to change yourself. Meanwhile, the easiest right path of changing ourselves is to read and comment on chantuduy.com (as our Dharma friend – Tantra Nirvadeva once shared in an article). I rejoice with you for your uncertainties and failures in worldly life before turning out your fortunate coming to Chanhtuduy.com, relying on our Guru’s wisdom. Thanks to our Guru, we have the precious chance to change ourselves day by day in the right way to gain self-happiness and eternal happiness not only in this life but many lives after.

May all sentient beings could be beneficial by Pure mind Yoga.

May Guru and your consort, Ms Mat Dieu good health and longevity for the sake of all sentient beings.

May the Coronavirus epidemic will be eliminated soon.

    Om mani padme hum!

  3. Reverend Guru

I take delight in reading the sharing of Tantra Maruta. I realize the wonder of Buddha Dharma and the blissful benefit of relying on Guru, Buddha, Dharma and Shangha. In the past, we used to be bounded by fixed mindset by blindly accepting the so-called “fate”, regardless of joyful or sorrow, painful or happy, and considered it as our “comfort zone” which therefore is the cause leading us to wander in this endless samsara. Ever since we met Guru and practiced Thanh Tri Yoga, we understand that we can change our life positively in the right orbit of Buddha Dharma in the sense of living happily this life and being reborn into the Land of Amitabha Buddha next life. The sharing of Tantra Maruta indicates positive changes in his thought after meeting Guru and rehearsing the second mind dharma of Thanh Tri Yoga by reading and commenting which have helped him adapted with changes in daily life. His article has helped us further nurture our belief in Guru and Tathagata teachings. Thank you for sharing it.

May Guru and your consort live long for the benefit of all sentient beings

May Tantra Maruta have health, more diligent in Dharma practice and soon achieve all righteous wishes.

May all sentient beings attain the happiness of Buddha’s nature

    Om Ah Hum

  4. Mật Diệu Hằng says:

    Dear Tantra Maruta,
I am delighted to read your sharing. It touches me. I think the comfort zone is the blind, dumb acceptance of the appearance of phenomena as being real without any discrimination, without any recognition. Likewise an ant keeps staying in the bowl but it does not know anything about the outside. It cannot enjoy the beauty, the glory of the world. Keeping staying in the comfort zone is to create the limitation for yourself. You cannot develop your potential abilities; especially, the ability of enlightenment. You cannot discover the amazing mind which leads you to the enlightenment and the true happiness.
In addition, the comfort zone can easily become a rut. People tend to like the familiar, but sticking with the familiar, makes us ill-prepared for the challenges life inevitably brings our way. Even for the practitioners on the path of liberation. The practitioners sleep on the comfort zone of small progress, they stand still and step back to Samara. The impure mind is then easy to chase after the worldly pleasure and forget the way to the city of liberation.
We are so fortunate to rely on the Guru’s wisdom and compassion to keep awake on the path of enlightenment. When we connect the Guru by reading articles and comment, his teachings are the reminder to wake us up and hep us get out of the sleep of samsara in the comfort zone. His six spiritual inventions give us wisdom, compassion, virtues, courage, strengths and pure energy in order to keep us awake to move leisurely forward the city of liberation.
Thank you very much for your sharing. I am looking forward to reading more of your writing.
May Guru and his consort have good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.
May Tantra Maruta be diligent in reading and comment for the progress on the path of enlightenment.
May all sentient beings attaint the happiness of Buddha’s nature.
May the epidemic caused by corona virus soon eliminate.
    Om Mani Padme Hum.

    Dear Tantra Maruta

Wonderfully written heart touching article. As long as we live in our comfort zone we believe that it’s the reality.Only when you break the comfort zone you will face the actual reality and we would develop inner skills to face such situations.

One more thing that this article taught is about the power of now.Only time that is available for us is now.

Let the Guru live long and all the sentinel beings have the peacefulness and calmness attained by Buddha.
