Letter from Belgium: THE LESSONS I LEARN FROM THE PRESENCE OF GURU IN THE THIRD US ONLINE DHARMA MEETING. (Những điều tôi học được từ sự hiện diện của Thầy trong lần hạnh ngộ thứ ba của Mật gia Mỹ Quốc)

Dear benevolent Guru,

Thank you for attending last Dharma meeting. It was good to see and hear you live. I know it is not easy to speak to a crowd when the language you are using is not your own and to let nerves get the best of you, but you did a fantastic job. Also I’m a big hat fan and yours was as we say in dutch rond je gemaakt, translation, made around you. It means it suits you very well. I appreciate the way you send us the easy methods to get out of the difficulties in this hard time. I appreciate your Bodhicitta and compassion towards us. Your presence in the meeting is the blessing, let alone your lecture and valuable teachings. Thank you so much for your kindness and giudance.

Listening to your speech in English, not your mother tongue, I learn the lesson that “With the mind of bodhicitta, each breath in and each breath out become a cause for the happiness of all sentient beings. With this purest of attitudes, bodhicitta, every breath you take benefits each sentient being and with each breath, with every action, you create skies of merit.” by Lama Zopa Rinpoche. It also says in the Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, “Since merely thinking of benefiting others transcends making offerings to all the buddhas, what need is there to say how extraordinary it is to actually attempt to bring happiness to every single sentient being without exception?”

Also I would like to thank you personally for giving us lotus walking Dharani. It lets me calm down after a hectic day at the office and become my own sovereign Island nation of one and disconnect from the madness that what is meant by being a human”being”, feels more and more like a human”racing” than enything else.

Practicing the method of lotus walking Dharani, I learn to benefit all sentient beings by reciting Mani mantra and keep my mind in balance. I see the transformation in my mind and I share my kindness, my love to all sentient beings. I feel the connection among all beings in this world.

Sometimes it feels like there is more than one reality in my life. I have the reality of me, the soul, the pilot, the one behind the eyes so to speak, that is navigating this body, then the worker that my bosses want me to be and am checked every second so closely I can’t even start to explain and have to be subverted and molded into this profile they demand me to be. Than I have the reality of what it means to be me to friends and family and the part of myself I want or am allowed to show. Then I have the Buddhist reality that has always resonated with me and makes complete sense even if you take quantum physics into consideration and intagled states are influanced by a humans messuring one of the two parts, even the double slit experiment is hinting that intention and quantum information have baring of sentient influance upon the fundamental particles… I’m not going to go into that today what I can say is that I’m curious and inquisitive and always use my own observation before making up my mind and Dharani has peaked my interest.

Tantra Mahacitta

Thank you so much for your presence and your guidance in the meeting. I have learn a lot from you, especially the bodhicitta and the compassion towards us and all sentient beings. I am proud of you in our path to enlightenment. I look forward for the next meeting with your presence.

May todays light be as abundant in photons as new lessons of first contemplation yet to be discoverd so Dharma can free all sentient beings.

Long live Guru, thank you for sending Violet to us and for your vision in starting Dharma with Tantra Mahacitta in the USA

    Dear Vincent Simon,
Thank you for sharing. Love to know that you find Lotus walking Dharani has peaked your interest as I got the same opinion. We are so fortunate to have Guru teach and guide us through this busy life with his beneficial inventions. Also thanks for the quotes about Bodhicitta, the essence of all Dharma practising. From those teachings, reflecting on all the talks and walks of Guru, I find Guru always practising and applying Dharma for the benefits of all sentient beings. He is the practical example for us to follow.
I’m delighted with the success of the third Dharma meeting in the USA and the benefits you all gain from it and sharing with us.
May Guru have good health and longevity for the benefit of all sentient beings.
May the Covid-19 pandemic will come to an end soon.
    Om mani padme hum.

      Cao Dieu Mat Thiry,
You asked more context so here is what happened to the letter.
A little while ago I was just done working and since it was saturday and had a late shift I decided to go out for a drink to this place in my home town where you can go for a late night cap. And I had just ordered a drink and I noticed there was a loud argument that everyone could hear, between mother and daughter about going home and that the mother already had enough. So as to be courteous I suggested very politely and in perfect dutch I it wouldn’t be better to have this argument in the privacy of her own home so as not to bother the other customers. She, the mother and her two friends became very angry and violently started shouting at my person in the most basic kind of dutch one can stoop to. Yet oddly I had no problem in remaining calm and polite. So did my composier and in a calm manner I requested the barkeep to send for the bouncer so he could be immediate between me and the tree intoxicated customers. As I was doing this I noticed two things, one, that the bouncer was already arriving on the scene, two, that I was receiving a fist in my face coming from my right side. As this happened more of the drunk women and her intoxicated “friends” came to her aid. I looked at the barman and asked that he would call the police since I did nothing to provoke such a reaction and asked the bouncer to do something. The barman turned away so as to not have to call the police and the bouncer said I should go. So calmly still I went and once I was on the street I decided to call the police but the strangest thing was that I could hear them perfectly and they only got hackled audio and couldn’t understand what I was saying. As this was happening a guy who works the tables had spotted me making a phone call after he was a witness to the hole scene he begged me not to call them because this would hurt the business and his boss who himself had no part in this since he was at another business he has and said that I’m the last person that would deserve such a unfairness and had to see it happen to because he knows me like everyone who works there, but to do nothing for the sake of his boss Sven. I was still in this placid state of mind, I wasn’t angry, sad or felt any negative feelings towards the people who treated me unfairly. I said that I would instead handle it in my own way. I know everyone who works there by name you see even Eric from Senegal that cleans the dishes, and for the bouncer it was much easier to throw me out then to throw them out and for the barman he would get much less grief from his boss Sven if he would of called the police because this would of put the business in a even worse light with the mayor of our town. Oddly I didn’t feel the fist in my face and it didn’t leave any marks so for the greater good I didn’t proceed with the phone call or to try calling back. A couple of days went by and I found myself after a walkabout again in front of the reef bar and it was booming with people a full house so I decided to go in and again it was like I had my own inner calmness with me, like a rippleless lake in the eye of a storm I went in and looked ahead not at the floor, I looked everyone in the eyes and I saw in front of me about 20 meters to the end the DJ was doing his set, left of him like a Gladiator of old, stood the bouncer so I decided that it was time to confront him with the truth of his wrong full action against me, so I went slowly to him as he would see me coming and I only spoke the truth that he was unfair to me, but before I knew it I had a firm hold on him with my right hand, and you must understand I have never had the need to fight in my life or even wanted to fight for the sake of fighting and am against all violence but yet I did have hold on him and I proceeded to pull him downward but slowly all the while telling him what he did and didn’t do, First he was laughing then he was laughing nervously while I was talking from my hart and just was my demeanour, calm not shouting but loud enough I knew he would understand. By then the DJ saw what was happening and rushed over to help the bouncer get free from my grip but he to was going down with the bouncer who was starting to cry in tears and the dj was panicking because it made no sense that I could do this with only one hand, I noticed to that all people first started laughing and then went quiet as it didn’t make any sense that these two guys were on their knees and it was there that I said the bouncer who was begging to let him go and because I saw real fear in the eyes of the DJ so I said I’ll let you go so you can get your boss because I want a word with him. Since then two things have changed since. The bouncer Boris is gone, yet not a request by me and the businesses, the reef and the restaurant he had next to it named the Buddha’s Belly, are condemned because the foundation is giving way in the sand of where it was built upon and has to be demolished. The latter must be coincidence but I still can’t explain how I could be that strong though. I think the lotuswalking has more to offer than meets the eye.

May Guru have a long life to guide us to him and may we find more strength and unity then division and greed in these corona troubled times

      Om Mani Padme Hum
